Senator Kearns says that the S. P., L. A. & S. L. will soon complete its
railroad between Riverside and Daggett, in California, which will complete the
road between Salt Lake City and the coast. At present, A. T. & S. F. tracks
between the two points named in California are used on a joint-track
arrangement for the hundred or so miles. (Pitchard, Salt Lake Daily Herald, 6 January 1906)
