Union Pacific 900000-series Maintenance of Way Cars

This roster is based on the car dispositions shown in David Seidel's various works. As additional information has been developed, it has been added.

All cars renumbered to the MofW 900000 series prior to 1959 were initially renumbered to similar "0xxx" MofW series numbers (example: 900596 was initally numbered as 0596). Beginning in 1959, these cars were renumbered to their later 900000 series MofW numbers. The renumber date to the 900000 series is shown when available.

All cars renumbered to the MofW 900000 series numbers after 1959 were renumbered directly, without an earlier "0xxx" series number.

This file was last updated on April 15, 2006.
