Notes:

  1. SP 1503, 1507, 1517, and 1519 were sold to Larry's Truck Electric (LTE), McDonald, Ohio, in October 1997. SP 1517 was sold to Peavy 444; an earlier report shows that SP 1507 was sold to Deron Manufacturing, Spokane, Washington, but that sale was rescinded and the unit remained on SP property until it was retired and sold by UP.
  2. SP 1505, 1520, 1524, and 1540 were sold to Helm Financial in July 1997; SP 1505 was re-sold for scrap in July 1997 to Midwest Metallics, McCook, Illinois; SP 1520 and 1540 were scrapped by Metro East Industries, East St. Louis, Illinois, in November 1997; SP 1524 was shipped to Metro East Industries during February 1998.
  3. SP 1508 was sold to National Railway Equipment in April 1997.
  4. SP 1518 was built as EMD 990, the first SD7; retired in May 1997 and moved for storage to Cheyenne, Wyoming; retained for preservation until donated to Illinois Railway Museum in early April 2003; moved to IRM during mid and late April 2003.   5. SP 1534 was sold to Midwest Metallics on 27 August 1999.
