After the tourist center was closed in about 1978, the caboose was later moved to Midvale, Utah, about 20 miles south to private property. The caboose was still there as late as November 1993, although badly burned and "tagged" with graffiti. As of 1995 it had either been scrapped, or moved to an unknown location..
