SP car class system (1895-1903) was CS-X where X was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 11A, 12, 12A, 13, 13A, 14, 14A, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19A, 20, 20A, 21, 21A, 22, 23, 24, 25A, 30, 31, 31A, 32, 33, 35A, 59A, 59B. (Information from Ed Workman)

One special feature of the original cupola design was the train indicator box between the windows (same idea as on locos) on both ends of the cupola. SP took them off the C-30-1 drawings ca. 1930. So I am very interested in whether the CA drawing shows that feature, or that it was removed at a certain date. My inquiries on the net regarding timing for UP discontinuance of indicator use (on cabooses) came up with a zero, nor have we been able to pin down the SP date by Special Instruction, other than a range of years between Rule Books.
