Note 1: See at page 18 of Colorado Rail Annual #15, Utah & Northern article - engine in center of bottom photo is one or the other of these two Moguls, as it is clearly not one of the 4-6-0 engines, and the UNRR did not get a 4-4-0; compare builder's photo of Iowa Eastern RR 'standard' Grant narrow-gauge 2-6-0, which appears in TRAINS magazine, Dec., 1957, pg. 58; and elsewhere.

Note 2: No photo known of SCRR 1, as such, but the frequently reproduced photo of Cairo & St Louis #6, "Sparta" (see, for example, Hilton, "American Narrow Gauge Railroads," page 385), is of a sister engine, SCRR 1 having been built as C. & St. L. No. 8, "Jonesboro."
