(from OSL account books, per Pitchard research) (Robertson, Volume 2, page 226, says OSL 504 to P&IN 101 on August 3, 1899; does not show any reference to ex OSL 519; P&IN operations began on December 30, 1899, which infers that OSL 504 was used by P&IN for construction in August 1899, with OSL 519 being sold to P&IN at the later 1900 date)

General Notes:
- UPRy 1021 and 1022 were rebuilt by UP at Omaha from 4-6-0 to 4-4-0. This was likely a case of lifting the bell and reinstalling it on an entirely new Omaha-built 4-4-0, and calling it a rebuild. The reasons for such an extensive rebuild are not known, but UP may have used the same boilers for the rebuild, since the boilers from the former KP locomotives were only 12-13 years old. Unfortunately folio diagram sheets from that era are not available to compare before and after data. Photos of the 800-series 4-4-0s are very, very rare.
